[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION]
IEUMSYMPHONIKER is a professional performance arts organization founded in 2024 that aims to connect people with one another, performers with audiences, and communities with the arts through music. Going beyond simple performances, IEUMSYMPHONIKER creates a stage for communication and empathy. Through this regular concert "Singing of Freedom, the Emperor, and Fate!" the ensemble sheds new light on Beethoven's representative masterworks.
This concert presents a multidimensional stage showcasing the will for freedom embodied in Beethoven's music, its majestic dignity, and the power of the human spirit to transcend fate. The precise yet refined interpretation of conductor Jung Na-ra, the outstanding artistry of pianist Lee Hyo-joo, and the solid ensemble of IEUMSYMPHONIKER members will together convey the essence of Beethoven's music with depth and nuance.
The Fidelio Overture that opens the concert is a work capturing the will toward freedom, salvation, truth, and justice, vividly revealing Beethoven's characteristic sublime ideals and dramatic tension. The following Piano Concerto No. 5 "Emperor" encompasses majestic scale, brilliant dignity, and profound lyricism, showcasing the pinnacle of Beethoven's concertos. Pianist Lee Hyo-joo will unfold the charm of this work, where the solo and orchestra develop in tension and harmony, with both delicacy and power.
After intermission comes Symphony No. 5 "Fate." Beginning with a fateful motif and progressing through anguish and triumph to ultimate victory and joy, this masterpiece most compressively contains the symbolic narrative of Beethoven's music. Its precise development, intense momentum, and conclusion that seems to break through darkness toward light powerfully convey the essential strength of Beethoven's art.
This regular concert "Singing of Freedom, the Emperor, and Fate!" transcends merely performing three masterpieces, becoming a meaningful stage where the dignity of the human spirit and the sublime value of art are shared with the audience.
