[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION]
Two pianists who have newly redefined the concept of the 'star' in the classical music world:
Peter Jablonski and Kim Jung-won.
Two artists who, at their debuts, possessed an idol-like appearance and charisma, and have since drawn distinctive trajectories in their respective paths with commensurate skill and musical depth.
Do you remember their first duo performance at the Seoul Arts Center 15 years ago?
Walking toward mastery through the continuous musical exchange and friendship that has followed, these two will transcend mere collaboration and present a profound musical dialogue that speaks to our times, with their ever-matured interpretations and communication that needs no words.
Pianists Peter Jablonski and Kim Jung-won both debuted as iconic stars of the classical music world representing the 1990s and 2000s respectively, earning both profound musicality and broad popular acclaim. In this duo recital, they will present Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, one of the most beloved symphonies among audiences, in a special version arranged for two pianos by Franz Liszt, the 'Wizard of the Piano.'
Through additional diverse and fantastical programs created by two pianos and four hands, they will highlight the refined sensitivity and exceptional rapport of both performers, unfolding on stage the profound musical dialogue that only artists who have walked through an era together can share.
