- New Orchestra Work by Contemporary Composer Choi Jin-seok
- Choi Jin-seok, a contemporary music composer who placed 3rd in the Basel Composition Competition, presents a new orchestra work consisting of four movements themed on waves, darkness, light, and wind.
The new orchestra work by contemporary composer Choi Jin-seok is composed of four pieces (movements) themed on waves, darkness, light, and wind. Each movement musically explores the different energies and states found in nature, creating a continuous flow through contrasts of intensity and tranquility, creation and dissolution, and tension and release. Throughout the work, the movements of nature are depicted by applying the structural principles of music that the composer values most. This work will have its world premiere performed by Han Kyung Arte Philharmonic under the direction of conductor Kim Yu-won.
