[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION]
Two pianists who redefined the concept of a 'star' in the classical music world:
Peter Jablonski and Kim Jung-won.
Two artists who, at their debuts, captivated audiences with idol-like visences and charisma, backed by technical mastery and musical depth, each carving out a distinctive trajectory in their respective careers.
Do you remember their first duo performance together at the Seoul Arts Center 15 years ago?
Walking toward becoming masters through continuous musical exchange and friendship since then, these two artists will transcend mere collaboration and deliver a musical dialogue that pierces through the ages—with increasingly mature interpretations and a rapport that communicates through mere glances.
Pianists Peter Jablonski and Kim Jung-won debuted as iconic stars representing classical music in the 1990s and 2000s respectively, earning both critical acclaim for their profound musicality and widespread popular affection. In this duo recital, they present one of the most beloved symphonies of all time—Beethoven's Symphony No. 9—in a special version arranged for two pianos by Franz Liszt, the 'Wizard of the Piano.'
Through a diverse and fantastical program created by two pianos and four hands, they will illuminate the refined sensibility and exceptional rapport of both performers, unveiling the profound musical dialogue that only artists who have walked together through an era can share on stage.
