Road movie: Art between Korea and Japan since 1945

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA) and the Yokohama Museum of Art have jointly organized an exhibition that examines the history of exchange between Korean and Japanese contemporary art. Through a series of compelling case studies that resemble a cinematic journey, this exhibition explores the shared ground and distinct differences between Korean and Japanese contemporary art, while also reconsidering the historical significance of artistic exchange between the two countries.
