[PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION] 2026 International Women's Day Performance Overlapping Breaths This performance is a gathering where female musicians layer their voices together to sing as one, building upon songs they created while standing alone in their respective places—somewhere between creation and livelihood, caregiving and responsibility, labor and art. To sing together is to: Diminish fear and build courage Hold hands so we can cross sorrow Calm our restless hearts Stand beside someone rather than persuade them Lower ourselves and give, finding balance along the way Remembering the ritualistic, social, and healing significance of choral singing that has kept us together throughout time, we will breathe together, and we invite you to sing with us.
