[PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION]
Im Hyung-joo, the original poppera world star who is experiencing a second heyday through recent appearances on major variety TV programs and growing closer to audiences, will host an intimate solo recital in May, the month of his 40th birthday.
On Saturday, May 16 at 7:30 PM, this private performance will be held at Garam, the small theater of Seoul's Yongsan Art Hall, limited to 200 seats. Im Hyung-joo will perform alongside pianist Cho Young-hoon, who has garnered attention as a renowned domestic accompanist.
The performance will showcase the diverse charms of poppera—lyrical yet vibrant—featuring not only classical, pop, and musical selections, but also a retro K-drama medley dance time.
Most notably, this concert will feature only Steinway full concert grand piano accompaniment, without an orchestra or large big band, allowing audiences to experience Im Hyung-joo's distinctive heavenly voice more intimately than ever. Anticipation for this performance is expected to be higher than any previous event.
