In a world where the "forces of light" ruled by Sarastro clash with the "forces of darkness" ruled by the Queen of the Night, Tamino, fleeing from a giant serpent, loses consciousness and is rescued by three attendants of the Queen of the Night. The Queen of the Night shows Tamino a portrait of her daughter Pamina and asks him to rescue her. The three attendants, captivated by Pamina's portrait, gift Tamino a magic flute, and he sets out with Papageno to rescue Pamina from Sarastro's captivity. After many twists and turns, Tamino meets Pamina, they confirm their love for each other, and undergo Sarastro's trials to achieve their love.
